What is a Flashcard & Quiz Maker?
A flashcard and quiz maker is a study tool that lets you create question-and-answer cards for active recall learning. You write a question or term on the front and the answer or definition on the back. Study mode lets you flip through cards at your own pace, while quiz mode tests your knowledge and tracks your score. Active recall with flashcards is one of the most effective study techniques backed by cognitive science.
How to Use the Flashcard & Quiz Maker
- Click Add Card and enter a question on the front and answer on the back
- Create as many cards as you need for your study topic
- Switch to Study mode to flip through cards — click or press Space to reveal answers
- Use Quiz mode to test yourself — mark each answer as Correct or Incorrect
- Review your score and retry to improve retention
- Export your deck as JSON to save, or import a previously saved deck
Frequently Asked Questions
How many flashcards can I create?
There is no limit on the number of flashcards. Create as many as you need for your study topic. All cards are stored in your browser session.
Can I save my flashcard deck?
Yes! Use the Export JSON button to download your deck as a JSON file. You can import it later using the Import JSON button to continue studying.
What keyboard shortcuts are available?
In Study mode: Space to flip the card, Left/Right arrow keys to navigate between cards. In Quiz mode: Space to flip, then use the Correct/Incorrect buttons.
How does Quiz mode work?
Quiz mode presents each card one at a time. You see the question, flip to reveal the answer, then mark it as Correct or Incorrect. At the end, you see your total score and accuracy percentage.
Is my data stored on a server?
No. All flashcards are stored only in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. Use the export feature to save your decks to a file.
