What is a Markdown Editor?
A Markdown editor lets you write formatted text using a simple, plain-text syntax. Headings, bold, italic, links, images, code blocks, and tables are all created with intuitive punctuation marks rather than complex formatting menus. Our online Markdown editor adds a real-time preview pane so you see the rendered result instantly as you type, along with word and character counts, HTML export, and clipboard integration — all running entirely in your browser.
How to Use the Markdown Editor
- Type or paste your Markdown text in the editor pane on the left
- See the rendered preview update in real time on the right
- Use standard Markdown syntax: # for headings, ** for bold, * for italic, ``` for code blocks
- Check word, character, and line counts at the bottom of the editor
- Click Copy HTML to get the rendered HTML output for your website or blog
- Click Copy Markdown to copy the raw source text to your clipboard
Frequently Asked Questions
What Markdown syntax is supported?

Can I export the rendered HTML?
Yes! Click the Copy HTML button to copy the fully rendered HTML to your clipboard. You can paste it directly into your website, blog CMS, or email editor.
Is my content saved?
